Applications
Trigonox® 178 VR is a convenient premixed initiator suitable for curing unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester, and acrylic thermosetting resins with metal salts under ambient conditions. Trigonox® 178 VR generates less exothermic heat than standard MEKP, making it suitable for warm and hot climates. Applications include cast polymers and laminates. Trigonox® 178 VR offers all the benefits of red MEKP, except for the red color. The Vanishing Red (VR) product series features a red indicator system that virtually disappears during the curing process. The red is there when you need it, but it is not present in the finished product.
