Trigonox® 178 VR is a convenient premixed initiator for curing unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and acrylic thermoset resins with metal salts under ambient conditions. Trigonox® 178 VR produces less exotherm than standard MEKPs and is suitable for both warm and hot weather climates. Applications include cast polymers and laminates.Trigonox® 178 VR offers all the benefits of red MEKP except for red parts. The Vanishing Red (VR) series includes a red color indication system that virtually disappears during the curing process. The red color is there when you need it, but not in the finished product.
