Butanox® LPT-IN VRN is a methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) for curing unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of cobalt accelerators at room and elevated temperatures. Butanox® LPT-IN VRN has a significantly longer gel time than most other ketone peroxides and is therefore particularly suitable for applications requiring longer gel times or production times, such as the production of large parts and fiber winding. Butanox® LPT-IN VRN includes a disappearing red color indication system that virtually disappears during the curing process. The red color appears during the mixing step when you need it, but disappears during the curing process.
