Butanox® M-60 is a general-purpose MEKP with moderate reactivity, low moisture content, and 10% higher active oxygen content than Butanox® M-50.
Applications
Butanox® M-60 is a general-purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) used to cure unsaturated polyester resins at room temperature and elevated temperatures in the presence of cobalt accelerators. Butanox® M-60 is a version of Butanox® M-50 with 10% higher concentration. The Butanox® M-60/cobalt accelerator curing system is particularly suitable for curing gel coat resins, laminating resins, clear coats, and castings; furthermore, unlike curing systems using benzoyl peroxide/amide accelerators, it allows for the production of light-resistant parts.
