When used to crosslink ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) polymers, Luperox® TBEC polymer initiator offers good thermal stability, crosslinking efficiency and short cure times. Luperox® TBEC can also be used for food contact styrene polymerization because it produces non-aromatic fragments upon decomposition.
Curing of UP resin based thermo-compression molding formulations (SMC, BMC, ZMC, etc.) in the temperature range of 120-170°C is preferred. For crosslinked EVA, it is the faster crosslinking of polymers and elastomers at lower processing.
CUROX ® SOLAR FC1 is a colorless, flowable liquid composed primarily of technically pure tert-butyl peroxy-(2-ethylhexyl) carbonate. It is a peroxycarbonate with advantages in thermal stability and is mainly used for crosslinking ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA), especially for photovoltaic applications.
