High-gloss surface SMC/BMC molding resin
Palapreg® P 133-952 is an unsaturated polyester resin of the maleic anhydride type with an excellent surface finish, mainly used for products requiring surface quality and gloss, as well as good water/weather resistance. Examples include sanitary ware, automotive panels, and medical devices.
Characteristic performance
- Thickening and stabilization
- Class A Surfaces
- High surface gloss
- High water resistance
- Excellent stain resistance
typical application
Palapreg® P 133-952 is a resin designed for low profile and Class A surface SMC formulations. High surface quality molded products can be obtained in combination with low shrinkage additives such as H 892-02 for Class A surfaces.

Process Operation Guide
Palapreg® P 133-952 is typically used in conjunction with low shrinkage additives such as H 892-02 to produce low profile or Class A surface articles. Depending on the dimensional needs of the final product, 300 to 600 ppm p-benzoquinone can be added to the formulation (based on the total amount of resin and low-shrinkage additive).
