Palapreg® P 133-952, a high-gloss SMC/BMC compression-molding resin, is a maleic anhydride-type unsaturated polyester resin. Products made from this resin exhibit excellent surface finish and are primarily used in applications requiring high surface quality and gloss, while also offering good water resistance and weather resistance.Examples include bathroom fixtures, automotive panels, and medical devices.
Characteristic Properties
- Thickening Stability
- Grade A surface finish
- High surface gloss
- High water resistance
- Excellent stain resistance
Typical Applications
Palapreg® P 133-952 is a resin specifically designed for low-profile and Grade A surface SMC formulations. When used in combination with low-shrinkage additives for Grade A surfaces, such as H 892-02, it produces molded parts with high surface quality.

Processing Guidelines
Palapreg® P 133-952 is typically used in combination with low-shrinkage additives such as H 892-02 to produce low-profile or Class A surface products.Depending on the dimensional requirements of the final product, 300–600 ppm of p-benzoquinone may be added to the formulation (calculated based on the total weight of resin and low-shrinkage additives).
