Palapreg® H 852-03 is a solution of modified saturated polyester dissolved in styrene.
Main Applications
For example, the combination of Palapreg® P18-03 and Palapreg® H852-03 is recommended for the production of low-profile SMC/BMC parts with high surface quality (Grade A).This formulation can be easily thickened with magnesium oxide. Due to its excellent flow properties in SMC, Palapreg® H 852-03 is well-suited for low-pressure applications.
The use of aluminum hydroxide as a filler enables the production of molded parts with high flame retardancy.

Processing:
Palapreg® H852-03 is processed together with Palapreg® P18-03 to produce low-profile SMC (LP-SMC) and BMC.Generally, the ratio of Palapreg® P 18-03 to H 852-03 is 50:50, but this can be adjusted as needed.The relatively low viscosity of Palapreg® H 852-03 allows for the use of high filler loads. Depending on the size of the molded part, it is recommended to add 300 to 600 ppm of dioxane to the system (calculated based on the heated plastic solution of the UP resin).
