Butanox® M-50 VRL is a general purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) for curing unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of cobalt accelerators at room and elevated temperatures.Butanox® M-50 VRL offers all the benefits of a standard MEKP Similar to Butanox® M-50, it has a red disappearing indicator system that disappears during the curing process. The red color appears when you need it during the mixing and application steps, but disappears during the curing process. Butanox® M-50 VRL with cobalt accelerator curing system is particularly suitable for curing, laminating resins, varnishes and castings; moreover, in contrast to the benzoyl peroxide/amine accelerator curing system, non-yellowing parts can be manufactured. Years of practical experience have proven that Butanox® M-50 VRL is well suited for GRP products for marine applications due to its low water content and absence of polar compounds.
