Next-Generation Innovation
We leverage scientific and technological expertise to develop sustainable, innovative solutions that benefit our customers. For example, Trigonox® 501-CS40 is the most effective organic peroxide on the market for controlling rheological polypropylene (CR-PP). This product offers certain advantages over commonly used modifiers.
Why Develop This New Product?
As polypropylene production facilities continue to expand, there is a growing need for post-reaction modification of polypropylene to produce customized grades. Controlled-rheology polypropylene is one of the best-known modified polypropylene grades, with widespread applications in packaging, fibers, nonwovens, and other fields. The peroxides
currently used for this application are not ideal: they have specific drawbacks, such as high volatility, poor sensory properties, complex handling and safety issues, and high costs.
Trigonox® 501-CS40 is a replacement for Trigonox® 301. Trigonox® 501-CS40 is a next-generation organic peroxide for CR-PP.By generating significantly lower VOC emissions than other commonly used peroxides, it meets the industry-wide demand for reducing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in CR-PP resins.Trigonox® 501-CS40 also exhibits excellent sensory properties and has been approved by the BfR (German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment) and the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) for food contact applications.
Notably, Trigonox® 501-CS40 does not require any temperature control for storage, thereby simplifying day-to-day operations. Finally, it is worth mentioning that Trigonox® 501-CS40 is cost-effective and helps reduce the production costs of controlled-rheology polypropylene.
