- Trigonox 301 is an effective peroxide for the production of controlled-rheology polypropylene (CR-PP) in extrusion processes.
- Its decomposition products do not contain acetone or tert-butanol.
- Suitable for CR-PP end products.
- The activity of organic peroxides is typically expressed in terms of their half-life (t1/2) at different temperatures.
- The half-life of Trigonox 301 in chlorobenzene is: 0.1 hour (170°C), 1 hour (146°C), and 10 hours (125°C).
- Organic peroxides are thermally unstable substances and may undergo self-accelerating decomposition.
- Self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT): 110°C
- Due to the relative instability of organic peroxides, some loss of quality may occur over time.
- The recommended maximum storage temperature (Ts Max) for each organic peroxide is 40°C.
- When stored under the recommended conditions, Trigonox 301 will remain within specification for at least 6 months after delivery.
