Product Name: BP-50-FT/BP-50-FT1 (MINIBAGS)
Ingredients: Bisbenzene peroxide (CAS#94-36-0), 50% powder with phthalates
Appearance: White, flowable powder
Description: This product is a powder made from a mixture of 50% diphenyl peroxide and phthalate. The primary use is as a curing agent (free radical source) for unsaturated polyester and methacrylate resins. Primary applications include curing cast and molded parts at room temperature with amine catalysts, curing road marking colors and coatings.BP-50-FT1 is available in sachet packages of varying weights (0.1 to 1 kg) and contains additives to prevent caking.

Areas of Application.
- POLYESTER CURE: Used at room temperature with amine catalysts for curing UP resins. Use Level: 2-4% with 1-3% of A-305 catalyst. Characteristics: Free flowing powder, easy to handle and feed. Hardening time is usually several weeks, but is not guaranteed to be unchanged in activity. Stirring time is highly variable but does not affect hardening. Cures rapidly below 20°C, even at low temperatures. All amine catalysts result in a distinct yellow-brown coloration of the finished product. Above the "starting" temperature of 70°C, hardening without amine catalysts is possible. The degree of hardness is only moderate, even after post-hardening. Processing methods include casting of high filler materials (sealing materials, UP concrete, UP foam), wet compression molding (with or without catalyst), hand lay-up, injection and vacuum molding. The product is therefore very versatile.
- METHACRYLATE CURING: Powder curing agent for use with methacrylate resins at room temperature. Use Level: 0.5-3% with 1-3% of A-305 catalyst. Characteristics: Free flowing powder, easy to handle and feed. Hardening time is usually a few hours or days, but is not guaranteed to be unaltered. Hardening and mixing times are very long. Treatments are used primarily for road marking colors and floor coatings, applied as a 2-part system with special machines. The key to the use of BP-50-FT1 is reactivity on cold, wet ground.
