Perkadox® 20S is a specialized low-concentration BPO formulation used for curing mining bolts and chemical anchors.
Applications
For certain specialized applications, it is desirable to use dry benzoyl peroxide powder as a catalyst. For these situations, the benzoyl peroxide formulation Perkadox® 20S has been introduced; it is a mixture of benzoyl peroxide and fillers. Perkadox® 20S is very easy and safe to handle. It contains no plasticizers, and its concentration is lower than that of typical benzoyl peroxide formulations, making dosing easier. One of the most important applications of Perkadox® 20S is as a catalyst for putty based on unsaturated polyester resins. Putty containing polyester resin accelerators and Perkadox® 20S cures rapidly, allowing surfaces to be sanded and polished in a short amount of time.
