Polymerization of Vinyl Chloride: Trigonox® EHP-WE60 is used as an initiator for the suspension polymerization of Vinyl Chloride in the temperature range 40°C to 65°C. Trigonox® EHP-WE60 can be used in combination with other peroxides such as tetramethylbutyl 1,1,3,3-neodecanoic acid tetramethylbutyl peroxide (Trigonox® 423), isopropylphenylene peroxynitrate ( Trigonox® 99) or lauroyl peroxide (Laurox) in combination to increase reactor efficiency. The reasons for using water-based peroxide emulsions instead of solvent-based peroxides are: improved safety, ease of use in "closed reactor technology" (pumpable), and ease of dilution with water.
