- Polymer crosslinking: Used as a peroxide crosslinking agent for polymers, particularly silicone rubber (VMQ).

- Usage: Mix 1–2% of the supplied product into the material to be crosslinked. A paste form facilitates mixing and homogenization.
- Crosslinking is not inhibited by oxygen but is sensitive to carbon black; polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) may be formed during the crosslinking process.
- Crosslinking of silicone rubber can be carried out under pressure within the temperature range of 110–130°C. Subsequent post-crosslinking can be performed at 150–250°C for 12–24 hours to remove acidic degradation products and improve aging resistance.
- In continuous systems, crosslinking can also be performed at atmospheric pressure using hot air at temperatures ranging from 150–400°C. This method produces bubble-free vulcanized rubber.
