Applications:
1. Polymer crosslinking agent: An organic peroxide crosslinking agent widely applicable to various polymers, particularly suitable as a crosslinking agent for polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE) and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers
. Crosslinking occurs at temperatures above 170°C; no crosslinking occurs below 140°C. The typical usage range is 0.5%–3% (w/w); for materials that are difficult to crosslink, the usage is generally
1%–5%.
2. It serves as a high-temperature vulcanizing agent for vinyl silicone rubber and is also an excellent vulcanizing agent for various other types of rubber. Rubber vulcanized with this product exhibits outstanding properties such as high tensile strength and high hardness.
3. It is an excellent degrader for polypropylene: The degradation temperature is 200–220°C, and the usage rate is 0.01–0.1%. It can be used to produce rheological polypropylene with low molecular weight, a narrow molecular weight distribution, and a high melt flow index. It serves as
an important initiator for high-speed spinning, coating, film, and cast plastic applications, and is the raw material of choice for producing cooling masterbatches.
4. It is a high-temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyesters.
Packaging and Transportation:
Our factory’s peroxide products are packaged in accordance with international standards in various sizes, including 5 kg, 15 kg, and 20 kg, and can also be supplied according to customer requirements. All packaging is made of PE material.
Storage Precautions:
1. Store in a cool, well-ventilated area with a warehouse temperature not exceeding 30°C.
2. Keep away from sources of ignition and heat. Store separately from acids, reducing agents, flammable substances, combustible materials, and other reducing agents.
3. Lighting and ventilation systems in the storage area must be explosion-proof, with switches located outdoors.
4. Handle with care during transportation to prevent damage to packaging and containers. Avoid impact and vibration. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during repackaging and handling operations.
Shelf Life:
When stored and transported in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, product quality is guaranteed for three months.
Safety Tests:
Drop-weight sensitivity: Greater than 60 cm
Friction sensitivity: Greater than 700 kg/cm²
Pressure vessel test: 1.8 mm
Self-accelerating decomposition temperature (SADT): 800°C
Alarm temperature: 750°C
Disposal Methods:
1. Dilution and Incineration: Dilute the product to be disposed of with an inexpensive solvent, such as alcohol or waste oil, to a concentration of less than 10%, then incinerate it under controlled conditions.
2. Hydrolysis: Prepare a 20%–30% solution of sodium hydroxide in methanol or isopropanol, then add the product to be destroyed to approximately 10 times its weight in the sodium hydroxide solution, stirring continuously as you add it, until hydrolysis is complete.
3. For the destruction of large quantities of the product, the user must notify the manufacturer to dispatch specialized personnel to perform the operation to prevent accidents.
Spill Response:
1. If the product accidentally enters the eyes, immediately pull the eyelids apart and rinse with running water for 15 minutes; seek medical attention.
2. If the product accidentally splashes onto the skin, immediately rinse thoroughly with soapy water and clean water. Seek medical attention.
3. If the product spills or leaks onto the ground, absorb it with sand, vermiculite, or other inert materials. Then, using non-sparking tools, collect it in plastic drums and transport it to a waste disposal site. Rinse
the contaminated area with water.
Fire Protection:
1. This product may decompose violently when exposed to heat, causing a fierce fire. Small fires involving small amounts of the product should be extinguished promptly using a foam or dry powder fire extinguisher.
2. In the event of a large fire, evacuate immediately to a safe distance and use a water hose to suppress the flames; notify the fire department to handle the situation.
