Neogel® 8373-W-XXXX, a meta-xylene-neopentyl glycol gel coat, is specifically designed for shipbuilding, swimming pools, sanitary fixtures, and furniture.

Neogel® 8373-W-XXXX is an isophthalic-neopentyl glycol (ISO/NPG) gel coat with several key characteristics:Easy to apply, good long-term resistance to immersion in water (good anti-blistering properties), excellent weather resistance (resistance to yellowing), air-releasing properties, and good mechanical properties. It complies with the U.S. ANSI-Z-124-1 standard and is approved by DNV Italia and RINA Italy.
Application Characteristics
Neogel® 8373-W-XXXX is a pre-promoted rheological gelcoat that is ready to use upon opening and is available in a variety of colors. It is available in the following types:
- Spray-applied type (Neogel® 8373-W-XXXX)
- Brush-on type (Neogel® 8373-W-XXXX H)
Standard or extended versions are also available upon request: - Spray-applied (with paraffin)
- Brush-on Type (with paraffin)
The spray-applied type can be applied using standard equipment; the following settings are recommended:
- Spray gun (nozzle diameter 2.0–3.5 mm, pressure 4–5 bar)
- Airless spray equipment (nozzle types: 18/40–21/40)
For optimal performance, follow these guidelines:
- Maintain a temperature between 18°C and 25°C
- Use the recommended 50% MEKP* solution for curing, adjusting the amount to between 1.0–2.5%
- Film thickness: 600–800 g/m²

Packaging, Storage, and Handling Conditions
Neogel® 8373-W-XXXX is supplied in packages of approximately 22 kg. It should be stored in its original, sealed packaging at a temperature not exceeding 20°C, protected from direct sunlight, and kept away from direct heat sources.
Under these conditions, the product has a shelf life of 3 months from the date of shipment.However, the shelf life of the fast-drying (AFAST) version or the black and green/blue dark-colored variants is two months under recommended conditions.
Neogel® 8373-W-XXXX has a flash point of >21°C. It is flammable and should be kept away from open flames.Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
