Applications
Ketjenblack EC-600JD is a very pure carbon black specially suited for antistatic and conductive applications. Due to its unique morphology and extremely high surface area of approximately 1400 m²/g (BET), it requires only one-sixth the loading of conventional conductive carbon blacks to achieve the same conductivity.
The low loading of Ketjenblack EC-600JD makes processing of filler-sensitive polymers much easier, minimizing losses in mechanical and rheological properties.
Key applications include:
- Semiconductor cable shielding compounds — very low ash content and low loading make it ideal
- Conductive coatings and paints
- Batteries, packaging materials for integrated electronic components
- Pipes, flooring, carpet backing
- Automotive parts, mobile phones, and other antistatic products
- Conductive modification of thermosets, thermoplastics, and elastomers
Storage and Packaging
Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Exposure to sunlight for more than 30 minutes may damage the packaging.
Packaging: Standard packaging: vacuum-sealed polyethylene bags, 8 kg net weight each; 320 kg net weight per pallet.
Shelf Life: At least 3 months within specification when stored under recommended conditions.
Transport: Ketjenblack EC-600JD is not classified as dangerous goods under national and international transport regulations.
