- TAHP-88 is a colorless, free-flowing liquid containing approximately 88% tert-pentyl hydrogen peroxide, deactivated with water.
- It is primarily used in monomer polymerization reactions, particularly in emulsion polymerization processes, such as the polymerization of vinyl acetate or (methyl)acrylates.

- TAHP-88 is used as an initiator in emulsion polymerization processes, including those involving vinyl acetate, (methyl)acrylates,acrylic resin coating dispersions, styrene/butadiene, or acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene, in combination with suitable reducing agents (e.g., Fe salts).
- Temperature range: 50°C to 80°C.
- Usage Level: 0.1% to 0.5%, as is.
- Possible detectable decomposition products include tert-amyl alcohol, acetone, and 2-butanone.
- It is recommended to protect the product from heat, light, humidity, and contaminants.
