External Release Agents for Unsaturated Polyester Resins: Release Agents are special products, used in the UP industry to enable cured UP parts to be released from the mold. The mold release agent NL-1 is a wax paste that must be applied to the mold as a first thin coat. The wax layer should be thoroughly polished after application. It is not necessary to replace the NL-1 layer after each mold release. The number of strips of the same wax layer before it has to be renewed depends on the material used to make the mold, the time of stripping and the method of cleaning the mold. If the mold is cleaned with water containing detergent, the wax layer needs to be renewed after each cleaning.
