Promotor D is a accelerator used in cobalt-accelerated curing systems employing ketone peroxides.
Applications
Promotor D is an accelerator that can be used to enhance the reactivity of ketone peroxide/cobalt-accelerator-based curing systems in various unsaturated polyester resins. Promoter D is effective in standard phthalate- and isophthalate-based polyester resins, bisphenol A/fumarate resins, and vinyl ester resins. In vinyl ester resins, Accelerator D can also be used to improve the reactivity of curing systems based on Trigonox 239/cobalt accelerator and Butanox LPT/cobalt accelerator. Accelerator D can be used in these resins as a substitute for the accelerator N,N-dimethylaniline. Compared to N,N-dimethylaniline, Accelerator D is a low-toxicity compound. It does not cause yellow to brown discoloration in cured UP resin parts, which is commonly observed when aromatic amines are used as accelerators.
