WAM WP-R1312 Standard Epoxy Resin for Prepregs

summary

WP-R1312 is a 125°C curing epoxy resin system from Wells Advanced Materials (WAM), and is capable of achieving an optimal balance of static properties (flexural/compressive strength and elasticity) and dynamic properties (impact strength, fatigue properties). It is widely used in the manufacture of tubing products such as arrow shafts, camera tripods, fishing rods, golf clubs, and similar high-performance sporting goods. Its viscosity and tackiness are well suited for prepreg processes and its service characteristics (viscosity and viscosity) vary with temperature.
WP-R1312 can be stored at room temperature for four weeks and at -18℃ for one year.

Features and Benefits

  • Suitable for all kinds of mold forming process and pipe products forming process
  • Optimal balance of static and dynamic physical properties: high impact strength and high flexural strength
  • Hot-melt resin/solvent-free: excellent working environment; less porosity of the product, good performance
  • Excellent prepreg handling: good viscosity, stickiness and softness
  • Price and quality at the same time
  • Long storage period: ambient temperature 25 ℃, environmental humidity is not higher than 65%, can be stored for about 4 weeks

Recommended Application Processes and Application Products

  • Molding Processes (Blow Molding, Can Molding, Bench Molding): Ships, Helmets, Machinery Parts, etc.
  • Reeling process: fishing rods, sticks, golf clubs, arrow shafts, camera tripods, etc.

Reference curing conditions

  • Molding: 90 min ~ 30 min (120 ~ 150°C)
  • Tube (golf clubs, fishing rods) molding: 30 minutes 80°C + 90 minutes 125°C

Molding conditions: Adjustment is required according to the thickness of the product, heat transfer, and molding method.
