- Ethylene: An initiator for high-pressure ethylene polymerization; also used in the copolymerization of ethylene and ethylene-vinyl acetate.Temperature range: 130–190°C. It exhibits liquid properties and can be metered and dosed without dilution even at low temperatures and under high pressure. It does not crystallize in high-pressure pumps. It is more active than tert-butyl peroxyisovalerate, thereby allowing for a reduction in initiator dosage and a lower initiation temperature.
- Other Monomers: Used as an initiator for bulk, suspension, or solution polymerization of (methyl)acrylates or other ethylene-based monomers; may be used in combination with more thermally stable peroxides to reduce the residual monomer content in the polymer.Temperature range: 50–80°C. Recommended dosage: 0.04–0.1%.
