Alcohol Ethoxylates- Narrow Range

Nouryon offers a wide range of alkyl alcohol ethers for cleaning applications. Narrow distribution alkyl alcohol ethers are our main specialty product line. Compared to nonylphenol alcohol ethers, conventional alkyl alcohol ethers have a relatively wide ethoxy mole distribution. By using special catalysts, a narrow distribution close to that of nonylphenol alcohol ethers can also be achieved in alkyl alcohol ethers.
The distribution curve of narrow distribution alcohol ether is narrower than that of the corresponding conventional alcohol ether, and the content of unreacted alcohol is much lower, which makes the odor of the product itself very light even for short carbon chain alcohol ether.
Nonionic surfactants based on short carbon alcohols have strong penetration and are very suitable for hard surface cleaning with short cleaning time. Generally speaking, the lower the degree of ethoxylation, the more free alcohol in the product. Berol ® 260, Berol ® 266, and Berol ® 840 contain less than 1% of free alcohol, so they have low odor and high efficiency.
