- Solubility: Insoluble in water; miscible with alcohols and phthalates
- Critical Temperature (SADT): Approximately 50°C
- Refrigerated Stability: Remains liquid at temperatures below -25°C
- Initiation temperature: approx. 55°C
- Recommended storage temperature: Below 25°C

- Curing of polyester resins
- Application: As a curing agent for UP resins; may be used in combination with cobalt accelerators
- Temperature range: 60–120°C
- Usage Level: 1–2% of the undiluted product; may be used in combination with 0.1–0.5% of the COB-1TX accelerator if necessary
- Curing can occur at room temperature; the typical “pot life” of the resin plus peroxide mixture is 4–8 hours
- The pot life can be extended by lowering the storage temperature
- The “working time” for the resin + peroxide + accelerator mixture is typically 1–3 hours
- The pot life can be extended by adding the inhibitor TC-510
- Curing Characteristics: Has a relatively long gel time at room temperature but a short curing time; can be used in combination with cobalt accelerators
- Above approximately 55°C (“initiation temperature”), curing occurs relatively quickly even without cobalt
- Moderate exothermic reaction with low internal stress
- Moderate degree of cure; post-curing at 80–120°C is recommended
- Processing Methods: Specifically designed to provide a relatively long pot life while maintaining the lowest possible initiation temperature; therefore, it is particularly suitable for continuous impregnation of (corrugated) panels and applied gel coats, as well as fiber winding of pipes and tanks
