Application Guidelines
- Before use, the resin should be conditioned at a clearly defined application temperature (typically at least 15°C for MEKP/Co co-curing).
- Synolite™ 8175-W-1 contains a cobalt accelerator. For peroxides, MEKP is recommended. Ensure that the peroxide is within its shelf life.
- Maintain workshop temperatures between 18°C and 32°C and humidity between 40% and 90%. Stable workshop conditions help maintain consistent gel times, enabling manufacturers to produce high-quality parts.
- Stir the product thoroughly before use. It is recommended to avoid styrene dilution to maintain flame-retardant properties.
- Fire resistance can be improved by adding 5–7% flame retardant to the resin.
- The final cure can be further optimized by performing post-curing for several hours after heating (e.g., to 80°C).
