Good mechanical properties
Typical Applications
Atlac® 430YT-901 resin can be used in environments subject to corrosion by various acids, alkalis, bleaches, and organic compounds. It is particularly suitable for chimneys and chimney liners in FRP piping systems. It is also suitable for equipment, building panels, and flooring materials that require the handling of air and hot gas mixtures under non-flammable conditions. This resin is suitable for various processes, including hand lay-up, spray-up, filament winding, RTM, and pultrusion. Atlac® 430YT-901 has low viscosity; without compromising processing performance, additives such as antimony trioxide can be incorporated to further enhance its flame-retardant properties.

Curing Conditions Curing System: Add 0.1 g of NL-53 and 1.0 g of Butanox LPT per 100 g of resin.Cure at room temperature for 24 hours, followed by post-curing at 80°C for 24 hours. For HDT and Tg, cure at room temperature for 24 hours, followed by post-curing at 120°C for 2 hours.
Processing Guidelines
Atlac® 430YT-901 does not contain an accelerator; a cobalt-based accelerator must be added during use.
Room-temperature-cured products must also undergo post-curing to achieve optimal physical and chemical properties. Prior to this, the products must be cured at room temperature for 24 hours. Post-curing conditions are 80–100°C for 3–6 hours (thicker products require a longer time). Post-curing is particularly important for components used in chemically corrosive environments.
During the curing process, it is recommended to apply 0.2% of a wax with a melting point of 54–57 °C to the surface of the product; this should be mixed into a 10% styrene solution prior to application.
