Bailiangcai A 400-976A is an isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin with medium viscosity and high reactivity.Bailiangcai A 400-976A is a food-grade resin that complies with the requirements of the People’s Republic of China’s “Hygiene Standard for Unsaturated Polyester Resins and Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic Products Used in Food Containers and Packaging Materials” (GB 13115-1991).
Main Applications
Bailiangcai A 400-976A is suitable for pipes, storage tanks, automotive components, marine applications, and other molded products requiring high mechanical properties. It is used in hand lay-up, filament winding, RTM, pultrusion, and cast grating processes.

Instructions for Use and Precautions
- Bailiangcai A 400-976A resin does not contain an accelerator; a cobalt-based accelerator must be added during use at a dosage of 0.5–2.0% (1% concentration).
- MEKP may be used as the curing agent at a concentration of 1.0–2.5%. Ensure that the curing agent is within its shelf life.
- The resin does not contain wax.
- To ensure the non-toxicity of fiberglass-reinforced plastic products, the following requirements apply to the amounts of accelerator and curing agent when using A 400-976A:
Tertiary amine: ≤0.1%
Cobalt octoate or cobalt naphthenate: ≤0.03% Peroxides: ≤3.0% Food-grade FRP products manufactured
using A 400-976A must undergo thorough post-curing: post-cure for 3–4 hours at 80°C.Then, rinse the products in hot water or steam at 80°C for 1–2
hours. No glass fibers may be exposed on the surface of the products. Finished products must not come into direct contact with peroxides.
