- Used as a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins, typically in combination with a cobalt catalyst at room temperature.
- Suitable for curing thin-walled molded parts.
- NOROX® FC-100 consists of acetone-acetone peroxide and tert-butyl peroxybenzoate, modified with acetone glycol.
- This curing agent generates significant heat, resulting in short demolding times and excellent demolding performance.
- Even at temperatures below 20°C, the curing rate remains relatively fast, especially when used in combination with Accelerator CA-12.
- Certain fillers, color pigments, or stabilizers may interfere with or completely inhibit curing.
- Compared to standard AAP (NOROX® PD-40), gel and peak times are similar, but the peak temperature is higher. This helps reduce residual styrene and improve the surface properties of the solid.
- Not suitable for vinyl ester resins.
- The product can be used for curing thin-walled molded parts in a variety of processes, such as vacuum and injection molding (RTM), fiber winding, wet pressing, centrifugal casting (pipes), and continuous impregnation (corrugated sheets).
- Avoid exposure to heat, light, and humidity, and protect the product from contaminants.
- Store within the safe temperature range.
