- CUROX® A-300 R is a red liquid containing acetone peroxide, which has been permeated with diacetone alcohol.
- This ketone peroxide is suitable as a free-radical initiator for curing unsaturated polyester resins.
- Its primary application is in the room-temperature curing of thin-walled molded parts in combination with cobalt accelerators.
- Features: Due to the vivid red color of the peroxide, its uniform distribution within the resin system can be easily verified. The red color disappears during the curing process.

- The “pot life” of the resin + peroxide mixture is typically only a few hours, depending on temperature and resin type.
- The “stirring time” (gel time of resin + peroxide + accelerator) is relatively short but can be extended by adding an inhibitor (e.g., Inhibitor TC-510).
- This initiator generates a significant amount of heat, resulting in a short demolding time and excellent demolding performance.
- Curing remains relatively rapid even at temperatures below 20°C, particularly when combined with Accelerator CA-12.
- Some fillers, pigments, or stabilizers may interfere with curing or prevent it entirely.
- This product is not suitable for vinyl resins.
- Avoid exposure to heat, light, and moisture, and protect the product from contaminants.
