- DHBP-75-PIC is a white paste containing approximately 72% 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy)hexane, with silica added to reduce sensitivity.
- It is a bifunctional dialkyl peroxide primarily used as a crosslinking initiator (radical source) for polymers, specifically for crosslinking silicone rubber at temperatures above 170°C.

- Polymer crosslinking: A peroxide crosslinking agent suitable for many polymers and elastomers, particularly silicone rubber (VMQ), but also suitable for polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE), ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA or EAM), ethylene/propylene/(diene) rubbers (EPM, EPDM), and fluororubbers (FKM).
- Crosslinking Temperature: Above 170°C. No premature crosslinking (scorching) occurs below 140°C.
- Usage level: 1–4% of the raw material supplied.
- For some less reactive polymers, crosslinking efficiency can be improved by adding 1–5% of a synergist (e.g., TAC or EDMA).
- Special advantages: Highly efficient and extremely versatile. The paste form facilitates mixing and homogenization. Decomposition products are volatile, odorless, and do not cause white spots on the surface of the vulcanized rubber.
