Applications
Armostat® 700 is a refined, tallow-based oil-soluble bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amine, making it a liquid alternative to Armostat® 300. Armostat® 700 is an internal antistatic additive suitable for a wide range of polymers, such as PE, PP, PS, SAN, ABS, and HIPS. Armostat® 700 provides sustained antistatic performance and is particularly effective in injection molding applications. Its low melting point allows for liquid metering even at low temperatures. Armostat® 700 can be added directly to polymers using single-screw or twin-screw extruders. Pigments or color concentrates should be mixed with the antistatic agent prior to extrusion. Premixing ensures uniform distribution of Armostat® 700 in the resin, and Armostat® 700 can serve as a dispersing aid for pigment pastes.
