- Ethylene: An initiator for the polymerization of ethylene under high-pressure conditions, used in combination with other peroxides having different reactivity. Temperature range: 200–250°C. It exhibits liquid properties and is not sensitive to other components in the polymerization process, even at low temperatures and high pressures.
- Styrene: An initiator for bulk or suspension polymerization of styrene. Temperature range: 100–140°C. Recommended dosage: 0.02–0.1% of the feedstock. It is characterized by its ability to reduce residual monomer content, its lack of reaction with chain regulators (such as thiols), and its resistance to hydrolysis in alkaline media. Recommended for use in combination with more reactive peroxides (such as benzoyl peroxide or tert-butyl 2-ethylhexanoate).
- Other Monomers: Initiator for the polymerization of vinyl acetate and (meth)acrylates. Temperature range: 90–130°C. Recommended dosage: 0.05–1% by weight of the monomer supply. Additional information on initiators suitable for monomer polymerization can be found in the relevant application manuals.
