Applications
  • Polyester Curing: Used as a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins.Temperature range: 80–150°C. Usage: 1–2% of the resin supply. “Shelf life” (gel time of the resin and peroxide) can last for several weeks at room temperature, depending on the resin type, fillers, and pigments.
Curing Characteristics
  • Within the 70–80°C range (“activation” temperature), the curing rate is not very high unless an exothermic reaction occurs (e.g., in an insulated mold). Truly short curing times of a few minutes can only be achieved at temperatures above 100°C. The optimal temperature range for wet compression molding is 120–150°C.
Processing Methods
  • Primarily used for sheet molding compound (SMC) or bulk molding compound (BMC).
Packaging
  • The standard packaging for TBPEH-LA-M3 is a 25-kilogram plastic drum.
