AOC SYNOLITE™ 8388-V-1 DCPD Unsaturated Polyester Resin

Chemical/Physical Properties

Synolite™ 8388-V-1 is a moderately reactive DCPD-based unsaturated polyester dissolved in styrene.

major application

Synolite™ 8388-V-1 was developed specifically for filling applications such as polymer concrete (thresholds, sills, etc.). Due to the good full cure properties, it is possible to reduce the amount of accelerator used by up to 60%. Synolite™ 8388-V-1 offers excellent outdoor performance.

Main characteristics

Synolite™ 8388-V-1 can be used for thick and thin products with low shrinkage. All common types of fillers can be used. Typical savings of 5-12% of resin can be realized due to excellent wetting properties.

Pre-use Guide

Before use, the resin should be conditioned at a well-defined, application-dependent temperature (MEKP/Co curing is usually carried out at a minimum temperature of 15°C). Stir the product before mixing.
Synolite™ 8388-V-1 is not pre-accelerated, so the processor must add a cobalt or amine accelerator to cure at room temperature.
