Synolite® 0740-P-915, a resin for bathroom structural layers, is a thixotropic, pre-accelerated, general-purpose orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin with low viscosity and moderate reactivity. The resin is wax-free.
Characteristic Properties
Synolite® 0740-P-915 has low viscosity and excellent wetting properties for glass fiber, making it suitable for hand lay-up and spray-up processes. It exhibits low exothermic heat during curing, so it will not burn acrylic sheets even when used in single-step lay-up molding of acrylic sanitary ware.It exhibits low shrinkage upon curing, has a light color, and emits minimal odor.
Synolite® 0740-P-915 is particularly well-suited for use with fillers and remains suitable for spray-up processes even at high filler loading levels.
