Product Properties
Synolite 0544-I-2 is a pre-accelerated, thixotropic orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin with low viscosity and moderate reactivity.
Main Applications
Synolite 0544-I-2 offers excellent mechanical properties, with an elongation at break comparable to that of most glass fiber-reinforced composites, making it suitable for structural components with high mechanical performance requirements. This product is suitable for hand lay-up and spray-up processes.
Synolite 0544-I-2 has been certified by Lloyd’s Register as a marine resin. Synolite 0544-I-2 has undergone thermal stabilization treatment for tropical climates and is suitable for transportation and storage in tropical regions.

Instructions for Use and Precautions
- Synolite 0544-I-2 resin already contains an accelerator. After prolonged storage, the thixotropic agent in the resin may gradually settle; it must be dispersed evenly before use. This can be achieved by inverting and rolling the drum several times or by stirring the contents of the container appropriately.
- MEKP may be used as the curing agent at a concentration of 1.0–2.5%. Ensure the curing agent is within its shelf life.
- To optimize the performance of the cured product, post-curing at 80°C for 3–4 hours is recommended.
