Composite products based on Palatal® P 65972 resin offer good mechanical strength, good heat resistance, and ease of pultrusion processing.
Benefits
- Good mechanical strength
- Good heat resistance
- Easy to process
Chemical/Physical Properties
Palatal® P 65-972 is an unsaturated polyester resin based on phthalic acid and standard diols, dissolved in styrene. This resin has low viscosity and high reactivity.
Applications
Palatal®P 65-972 is specifically designed for various FRP compression-molded products requiring high heat distortion resistance. It is recommended for use in pultrusion, filament winding, RTM molding, high-filler molding, and polymer concrete.

: Cure using 1.0 g of Butanox M50 and 1.0 g of Accelerator NL 49P added to 100 g of resin. Cure at room temperature for 24 hours, followed by post-curing at 80°C for 24 hours.
Test conditions: Temperature: 23 ± 2 °C, relative humidity: 50 ± 5%.
Processing Guidelines
- Palatal® P65-972 does not contain an accelerator. When using the pultrusion process, the curing system should be selected based on specific equipment, product, process temperature, pultrusion speed, and other factors. The recommended curing agent dosage ranges from 0.75% to 2.0% of the total resin weight.
- Maintain workshop temperatures between 18°C and 32°C and humidity between 40% and 90%. Maintaining consistent workshop conditions helps ensure consistent gel times and enables manufacturers to produce high-quality products.
