Palatal® P 65TV-959 orthophthalic resin, designed for hand lay-up and spray-up processes, offers excellent wetting properties and low shrinkage
Key Properties
- Good mechanical properties
- Excellent wetting properties and workability
- Low shrinkage
Product Properties
Palatal® P 65TV-959 is a pre-accelerated, thixotropic ortho-unsaturated polyester resin characterized by low viscosity and high reactivity. The resin offers excellent processing properties, along with superior mechanical properties and water resistance.
Typical Applications
Palatal® P 65TV-959 is suitable for hand lay-up and spray-up processes; due to its low viscosity, the resin exhibits rapid wetting of glass fiber; Palatal® P 65TV-959 offers good water resistance and low shrinkage, and is primarily used in the marine industry, recreational facilities, and the bathroom fixtures industry.

Processing Guidelines
- Before use, the resin must be stored under stable temperature and humidity conditions for a certain period of time. When using the MEKP/Co curing system, the operating temperature should generally be above 15°C;
- Palatal® P 65TV-959 resin contains an accelerator; when using it, add the curing agent MEKP, ensuring the curing agent is within its shelf life.
- The workshop temperature should be maintained between 18°C and 32°C, and the humidity should be maintained between 40% and 90%. Consistent workshop conditions ensure consistent gel times and help manufacturers produce high-quality products.
- To achieve optimal physical and chemical properties, the product can be subjected to a post-curing treatment at a high temperature (e.g., 80°C) for several hours before use.
