Chemical/Physical Properties
Palatal® P 61 TV-956 N is a pre-accelerated, thixotropic unsaturated polyester resin based on phthalic acid and standard diols, dissolved in styrene. The resin features low viscosity and high reactivity. A color-coding system has been implemented.
Applications
Palatal® P 61 TV-956 N is ideal for hand-layup and spray-up processes. During layup, it rapidly impregnates reinforcing materials without sagging on vertical surfaces. Palatal® P 61 TV-956 N offers good mechanical properties. Suitable for the marine, bathroom fixtures, leisure, and cabin industries.
Palatal® P61TV-956N has received shipbuilding approvals from the China Classification Society (CCS) and Lloyd’s Register (LR).

on curing conditions: Add 2.0 g of Butanox M50 to 100 g of resin for curing. Cure for 24 hours at room temperature, followed by post-curing for 24 hours at 80 °C.
Processing Guidelines
- MEKP is recommended as the curing agent. The usage rate is 1%–2.5%. Users may adjust the amount based on ambient temperature and processing time.
- Thixotropic resin. We recommend stirring gently before use.
Application Guidelines
Room-temperature-cured products should undergo post-curing to achieve optimal performance. Before post-curing, the product should cure at room temperature for 24 hours. Prior to assembly—such as drilling—it is best to let the product stand at room temperature for 24–48 hours.
