NOROX® SHP-10 is a clear to pale yellow liquid formulated with acetone peroxide and peroxide esters. It has the following technical specifications:

Viscosity: 25–32 mPas
Flash point (SETA C.C.): >149°F/65°C, minimum

Soluble in: oxygen-containing organic solvents
Slightly soluble in: water
Storage Temperature: Up to 77°F (25°C)

Applications : The combination of NOROX® SHP-10 and cobalt-accelerated resins has been proven to serve as an excellent curing system for unsaturated polyesters at both room temperature and elevated temperatures. The cobalt content (naphthenic or octanoic acid in a 1% solution) should be within the range of 0.1% to 1.0%.Compared to MEKP initiators, NOROX® SHP-10 offers the advantages of more complete curing, reduced residual styrene, and stronger parts. Compared to standard AAP, it provides similar gel times and slightly higher peak exothermic heat release, but with superior final cure.Typical applications for NOROX® SHP-10 include manufacturing processes such as RTM, fiber winding, centrifugal casting, and continuous lamination. NOROX® SHP-10 is available in standard packaging sizes of 4x8-pound and 44-pound (20-kilogram) polyethylene bottles.
