Product Description:
- Norox® 757 is a diluted version of Norox® 750 for applications where more volume needs to be measured more accurately.
- Liquid organic peroxide hardening initiator for RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) and moldmaking resins.
- The main feature is uniform hardening in thick and thin sections without excessive heat release, resulting in excellent dimensional stability.
Technical data:
- Active Oxygen: 3.7 max
- Form: Liquid
- Color: Colorless
- Specific gravity at 25°C: 1.15
- Flash Point (C.O.C.): 200°F/93°C, min.
- Flash Point (SETA C.C.): 150°F/66°C, min.
- Soluble in: Oxygenated organic solvents
- Also soluble in: water (medium solubility)
Applications:
- Norox® 757 is an excellent liquid hardening initiator for room temperature curing unsaturated polyester resins for moldmaking and RTM applications.
- Has improved green strength development without excessive heat release.
- The slightly extended gel time (compared to the standard MEKP formula) provides good operating time.
- During the RTM process, Norox® 757 provides a delayed gel time to ensure cavity filling and wetting of the reinforcement.
- Excellent final hardening and dimensional stability are observed in work mold and RTM applications.
Storage and handling:
- Recommended storage at 27°C (80°F) or lower, maximum shelf life requires storage below 25°C (70°F).
- Keep away from flammable materials and all sources of heat, sparks or open flames.
- Leaking containers should be disposed of immediately; leaking peroxide may become contaminated and initiate a dangerous reaction.
Packaging, transportation and delivery:
- Standard package sizes are 4x8 lb. polyethylene bottles; 44 lb. or 20 kg. Hedpacks.
- Refer to Sections 14 and 15 of the Norox® 757 Material Safety Data Sheet for classification information.
- Available through a nationwide network of distributors.
