2023-10-11norox757
Product Description:
  • Norox® 757 is a diluted version of Norox® 750, suitable for applications requiring more precise metering of larger volumes.
  • A liquid organic peroxide curing initiator for RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) and tooling resins.
  • Its key features include uniform curing across both thick and thin cross-sections and minimal exothermic reaction, resulting in excellent dimensional stability.
Technical Data:
  • Active Oxygen: 3.7 max
  • Form: Liquid
  • Color: Colorless
  • Specific gravity at 25°C: 1.15
  • Flash point (C.O.C.): 200°F/93°C, minimum
  • Flash point (SETA C.C.): 150°F/66°C, minimum
  • Soluble in: Oxygen-containing organic solvents
  • Also soluble in: water (moderate solubility)
Applications:
  • Norox® 757 is an excellent liquid curing initiator for room-temperature-curing unsaturated polyester resins, suitable for tooling and RTM applications.
  • It features improved green strength development and does not generate excessive heat.
  • A slightly extended gel time (compared to standard MEKP formulations) provides a good pot life.
  • In the RTM process, Norox® 757 provides a delayed gel time, ensuring cavity filling and wetting of the reinforcing material.
  • Excellent final cure and dimensional stability are observed in both mold-making and RTM applications.
Storage and Handling:
  • Storage at 27°C (80°F) or below is recommended; for maximum shelf life, store at 25°C (70°F) or below.
  • Keep away from flammable materials and all heat sources, sparks, or open flames.
  • Leaking containers should be handled immediately; leaked peroxide may become contaminated and trigger hazardous reactions.
Packaging, Shipping, and Availability:
  • Standard packaging specifications are 4x8-pound polyethylene bottles; 44-pound or 20-kilogram Hedpacks.
  • For classification information, refer to Sections 14 and 15 of the Norox® 757 Material Safety Data Sheet.
