- NOROX® 500-50 is a 50% solution of 1,1-tert-butyl peroxide stabilized with aliphatic hydrocarbons.
- It is a colorless, free-flowing liquid used as an initiator for polymer monomers (such as styrene) and as a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins.

- Polyester Resin Curing: As a curing agent for unsaturated polyester resins, with an applicable temperature range of 120–160°C.
- Can be used for hot-press molding of surface-molded compounds (SMC) or bulk-molded compounds (BMC) at temperatures ranging from 130–160°C.
- Mainly used for the hot-press molding of SMC and BMC.
