m-Phenylneopentyl Glycol Gelcoat
Neogel® 8575-W-XXXX has been widely used in sanitary ware, swimming pools, boats, water rides, and other applications that require higher water and weather resistance.
Characteristic performance
Neogel® 8575-W-XXXX is an isophthalic neopentyl glycol gelcoat with an excellent combination of properties. It is easy to use and has excellent defoaming and mechanical properties. Its long-term hot water resistance (high resistance to blistering), weatherability (resistance to yellowing) and curing in high humidity environments are particularly outstanding.
Usage characteristics
Neogel® 8575-W-XXXX is a pre-promoted, thixotropic gelcoat. For the following process types, Neogel® 8575-W-XXXX is available in a wide range of colors:
- Spray process (gelcoat grade 8575-W-XXXX)
- Hand lay-up process (gelcoat grade 8575-W-XXXX H)
In addition, Neogel® 8575-W-XXXX can be used in some of the following processes: - Air-dry spray molding process (gelcoat grade 8575-T-XXXX)
- Air-drying hand lay-up molding process (gelcoat grade 8575-T-XXXX H)
When using jetting equipment, we recommend that customers operate under the following conditions:
- For compressed air guns, a nozzle diameter of 2.0-3.5 mm and a spray pressure of 4-5 atmospheres are required.
- For non-airborne guns, tip size recommendations are: 18/40-21/40
In order to obtain the best results, we recommend that our customers ensure the following construction conditions:
- Gelcoat use at 18°C to 25°C
- Use MEKP* curing agent solution at a concentration of 501 TP3T in a dosage of 1.01 TP3T - 2.51 TP3T.
- Coating thickness not less than 600-800g/m²
