It is an effective initiator for high-pressure ethylene polymerization in autoclave and tubular processes. It is a peroxyester used to cure unsaturated polyester resins at high temperatures.It is preferred for curing UP-based thermoset molding formulations (SMC, DMC, BMC, etc.) within the temperature range of 120–170°C.
