AOC Daron® 5195 High-Performance Hybrid Resin System

Daron® 5195, a high-performance hybrid system resin, is the Component A in a high-performance hybrid system. This resin system features a unique chemical structure; during curing, the free-radical polymerization of unsaturated resins proceeds concurrently with the chemical polymerization of the polyurethane system, resulting in products with excellent mechanical properties and high-temperature resistance.

Typical Applications

Daron® 5195 resin is suitable for a variety of molding processes, but is particularly well-suited for pultrusion and wet compression molding.
It uses a polyisocyanate resin as the second component.

Product Description

Daron® 5195 resin has low viscosity and can undergo dual curing at extremely high speeds in thermoforming processes such as pultrusion.
The low viscosity of Daron® 5195 ensures wetting stability at high fiber content, resulting in high-strength products.
Due to its high heat resistance, Daron® 5195 retains a high strength retention rate even at elevated temperatures.
The unique curing process of Daron® 5195 maintains product stability at higher pultrusion speeds, thereby reducing production costs.

Curing system: Add 60 g of M20R, 2 g of Pergaquick AX3, and 2 g of Perkadox CH50L to 100 g of resin. The
sample was cured at room temperature for 24 hours, followed by post-curing at 180°C for 4 hours.

Processing Guidelines

  • As Component A of a hybrid system, Daron® 5195 should be used in conjunction with a specified type of isocyanate component during the pultrusion process.
  • The Daron® 5195 hybrid system resin is better suited for injection pultrusion. When using the conventional dip-pultrusion process, close attention should be paid to changes in resin viscosity and the stable service life of the resin in the feed tank.
  • The workshop temperature should be maintained between 18°C and 32°C, and the humidity should be maintained between 40% and 90%. Maintaining stable workshop conditions helps manufacturers produce high-quality products.
