- CUROX® M-403 is a colorless liquid consisting of a peroxide based on methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, deactivated with a dimethyl phthalate mixture.
- It is used as a free-radical source to initiate unsaturated polyester resins and is typically used in conjunction with a cobalt catalyst.

- Primarily used in conjunction with cobalt catalysts at room temperature to cure all types of unsaturated polyester resins.
- Standard dosage: 1–3% as supplied; 0.5–2% when used with a 1% cobalt solution.
- "Pot life" (gel time of resin + peroxide + catalyst) is shorter than that of standard MEKP but can be extended by adding Inhibitor TC-510.
- Moderate heat generation. Relatively short demolding time. Curing time is significantly prolonged at temperatures below 20°C; in such cases, a cobalt/amine catalyst or a mixture with acetylacetone peroxide should be used.
- Avoid any sources of heat, light, and moisture, and protect the product from contaminants. Keep within the safe temperature range.
