- The “shelf life” at room temperature can vary from several weeks to several months depending on the resin type.
- It exhibits very low sensitivity to fillers, pigments, cobalt salts, or tertiary aromatic amines. Adding 0.1–0.3% of Inhibitor BC 500 can significantly extend the shelf life.
- Within the 80–90°C range (“initiation temperature”), the curing rate is not rapid unless the reaction heat causes a temperature rise.
- Truly short curing times (1–3 minutes) can only be achieved at temperatures above 120°C.
- The optimal temperature range for hot-press molding is 130–150°C.
