Applications
Trigonox® 301-20PP is a highly efficient peroxide formulation used in extrusion processes within the 200–250°C temperature range to produce controlled-rheology polypropylene (CR-PP) . These beads serve as a masterbatch for liquid Trigonox® 301-20PP, allowing for more precise addition of peroxide to the polymer. The more uniform distribution of peroxide throughout the polymer is also advantageous. Using the bead form rather than the liquid form allows for better control of the viscosity-reduction cracking process. Trigonox® 301-20PP provides polypropylene producers with great flexibility in controlling the polymer’s melt flow index (MFI). Even slight changes in peroxide concentration or process temperature can result in significantly different MFIs.
