Trigonox® 301-20PP is a highly efficient peroxide formulation for the production of controlled rheology polypropylene (CR-PP) in extrusion processes in the 200-250°C temperature range. The beads form a masterbatch for liquid Trigonox® 301-20PP, allowing for more accurate peroxide addition to the polymer. A more uniform distribution of the peroxide throughout the polymer is also advantageous. The use of a bead form rather than a liquid form allows for better control of the viscosity reduction cracking process. Trigonox® 301-20PP gives polypropylene producers great flexibility in controlling the melt flow index (MFI) of the polymer. Small changes in peroxide concentration or process temperature can produce significantly different MFIs.
