Applications
Trigonox V388 is a general-purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) used to cure unsaturated polyester resins at room temperature or under elevated temperatures in the presence of a cobalt accelerator. It is particularly suitable for curing reinforced or unreinforced products, such as laminating resins and casting resins.For shipbuilding applications, it is recommended to use an MEKP with low moisture content and free of polar compounds, such as Butanox M-50.
At room temperature, Trigonox V388 must be used in conjunction with a cobalt accelerator (such as Accelerator NL-49P) to achieve optimal curing results.
Thermal Stability

Storage
Due to the relative instability of organic peroxides, the storage temperature should not exceed 25°C. When stored under the recommended conditions, Trigonox V388 remains within product specifications for at least 6 months after delivery.

Safety and Handling
Keep containers tightly closed. Store and handle in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from heat or ignition sources, and avoid direct sunlight. Avoid contact with reducing agents, acids, bases, and heavy metal compounds (such as accelerators, drying agents, and metal soaps).
