Trigonox® V388 VR is a general-purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) with VR system for curing unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of cobalt accelerators at room and elevated temperatures.

Trigonox® V388 VR is a general purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) for curing unsaturated polyester resins in the presence of cobalt accelerators at room and elevated temperatures. The curing system Trigonox® V388 VR/Cobalt accelerator has been developed for general purpose GRP and non-GRP applications such as curing of laminating resins and castings. For room temperature applications, Trigonox® V388 VR is required in conjunction with a cobalt accelerator such as Accelerator™ NL-49PN. The Vanishing Red (VR) range of products includes a red color indication system that disappears during the curing process. The red color is visible only when needed, but not in the final product. The main features are: indication of the presence of the initiator, monitoring of the mixing step, monitoring of the cure by color and indication of uncured areas in the mold and, last but not least, it keeps the final product colorless after cure.
