Trigonox® Super 828 is methyl ethyl ketone peroxide in a solvent mixture.
Applications
Trigonox® Super 828 is a general-purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP) used to cure unsaturated polyester resins at room temperature and high temperatures in the presence of cobalt accelerators. The Trigonox® Super 828/cobalt accelerator curing system was developed for general GRP and non-GRP applications, such as the curing of laminating resins and castings. Years of practical experience have shown that marine applications require a special MEKP with low moisture content and free of polar compounds to prevent blight and other issues. Butanox M-50 is the recommended MEKP for this application. For room-temperature applications, Trigonox® Super 828 must be used in combination with a cobalt accelerator (such as Accelerator NL-49P).
